• I bought a mole trap from you on Friday at Badminton to catch the moles who are ruining my vegetable patch! But ....success on my first attempt at mole catching! I set the trap as per your instructions on Saturday and went off to work. When I returned the trap had gone off and I found one very dead mole! Please tell any women that it is really easy to use and works - the only downside is that they will have to add mole catching to their list of duties!!! • Earlier this winter my wife and I purchased a property. It came with a lawn on which we had visions of playing Pimms-assisted croquet late into balmy summer evenings. A far-sighted neighbour dropped by, bringing with him a house-warming present - a dark green EasySet Mole Trap made by Beagle. In early spring our lawn erupted into numerous molehills. Not good for croquet. Our neighbour returned. He saw the devastation, departed, shortly to come back carrying a metal probe, a narrow spade and a trowel. He chose the two most recent molehills and probed the ground between them. In no time he had located the tunnel not far beneath the surface. With the spade he cut out a square sod revealing the tunnel. On his hands and knees he used the trowel to clear a small chamber. The tunnels, running off left and right, were visible. I passed him the trap, our house-warming present. This he armed by pressing down the plunger against a spring, sufficiently powerful to ensure a speedy, humane demise of the animal. At no time during this process were our neighbour's fingers in any danger. It is a wondrously safe device unlike some others based on the hair-trigger rat-trap principle. He laid the trap in the chamber in line with the tunnel entrances, lightly replacing the earth around it to keep out the light whilst leaving the plunger free to pop up.
  The very next morning I found the trap had sprung, clearly indicated by the raised plunger. I lifted the trap, released the dead victim by depressing the plunger, and disposed the body. I then leveled the all other existing mole hills so that any freshly dug mounds would be obvious, thereby facilitating the location of the re-set trap. So far, a week later, no mole hills have appeared. Nicholas Hudson, France
